Tasha Hello, my name is Natasha Motsi and welcome to Tasha’s Beauty Supplies based in sunny Hawkes Bay in Napier, New Zealand. The business was started in 2006 citing a growing need for someone to supply hair extensions for growing African immigrant population in New Zealand.

Shake-n-Go Logo Being an african immigrant myself I found it almost impossible to get the right products and hair extensions required to keep my afro locks manageable. The initial supplier search led to an award for sole distributorship for Shake-n-Go Fashions for New Zealand. Shake-n-Go Fashions is headquartered in New York and have been in the hair extension business for decades. Shake-N-Go supply us with synthetic and human hair extension brand-names Freetress and Milky Way respectively.

Dr Miracles Logo The search for products to actually tame the dreaded afro lead to Dr Miracles, a range of products supplied by Solo Labs also headquartered in New York. The Dr Miracles range has an amazing "Feel It" formulae designed to help heal scalp problems and also stimulate growth.


Beverly Johnson Logo 2007 saw the introduction of three more suppliers. The first was the fabulous Beverly Johnson range of human hair and synthetic wigs. This collection was created by famed supermodel Beverly Johnson. She has combined the highest quality materials, premium craftsmanship and innovative designs to bring you one of the finest quality wigs available on the market today. As a career woman, role model, actress, author and mother, Beverly understands the fashion needs of today's busy woman.

Image Addict Logo A visit to the Sydney International Hair Expo in June 2007 led to a partnership with Australian company Image Addict based in Melbourne. Owner Sarina Russo has patented an innovative hair extension method called Hair Swift, it takes 20 mins to install and 10 mins to remove. The method causes minimal damage to the clients hair with no glue applied at all! Sarina has been testing hair swift for the last two years and it has been well-received in the USA and Australia. We will be working together to introduce Hair Swift to the New Zealand market and already we have many hair professionals very excited to take part in this revolutionary path the hair extension industry will embark on.Please look at our main training page for more info.

Estetica Logo The latest supplier to join our great team is Estetica Designs. They supplier an exquisite range in synthetic wigs that are allow all-day breathability and are in a range of modern styles. These range of wigs are directly aimed at our clients who suffering the effects of cancer therapies.



Tasha’s Beauty Supplies is now a registered Health PAC payee. This means that we can now provide a better service for our clients who are experiencing hair loss from the effects of cancer and alopecia. The Estetica and Beverly Johnson range of wigs provide the perfect solution to help you keep looking fabulous.   • Hie Tasha, I really wish i could hug you! Remember you send me Dr MIRACLES Temple and Nape Gro Balm? Oh it's working wonders on my hair line which was almost bald.
    For the two weeks I have been using this product there has been a noticeable increase in hair growth.
    I am so excited because I think I have finally found a solution to my problem.

  • Ladies I got to Testify! I haven’t relaxed my hair since last November! I am someone who often gets bored with my hair and need a change straight away. I have cut it very short at least 3 times in the last 5 years! Last year I decided to go red and went in to the salon to get it done. This was about 3 weeks before I was going to the US on holiday. 2 weeks later I decided it wasn’t red enough and being the typical African didn’t want to pay another $100 and probably also new she would say it was too soon, so off I went to the supermarket to buy one off the shelf one. In all my wisdom I did this a few days after I had relaxed it. I can hear your gasps! Yes I did it……….As a result my poor lovely, thick, black hair was a sickly looking brown colour and felt like straw! No amount of hair food, oil treatments or constant attention would bring it back to life. Whilst I was in the US I went to Sally’s in Daytona Beach and bought some Dr Miracles Damaged Hair treatment, sounded like just what the doctor ordered. For good measure I also bought some Braid Spray. These turned out to be my two best purchases out of all the New York and Miami shopping I did. When I came back to New Zealand the distress that my hair was going through was beginning to filter to me, the more I looked at it, the guiltier I felt. So I bit the bullet and cut off the dead hair and was left with a measly 2 cms of growth! As it was being cut I watched the virtually dead brown hair effortlessly falling to the ground, glad not to have to hang on for dear life anymore. This was in about March and I have had it braided since. I have been faithfully using my Dr Miracles Braid Spray and used the Damaged Hair Treatment until it ran out. I was impressed by the growth in my hair and how well the Braid Spray works. I hardly had an itchy sculpt and if I did, I would use the spray and ‘Feel the Tingle’. It has a lovely minty smell and gets no complaints from my husband! Ladies, yall know how they complain when something don’t smell right in your hair, we put up with it, they complain! 3 weeks ago I decided to give the whole relaxed hair thing another try. Since I had made a commitment to selling the whole Dr Miracles range I decided to use nothing but! I gotta tell you, I have no regrets! The products are fantastic. I used the relaxer and realised some of the nasty dead ends where still in my hair so I went for a trim a Rodney Wayne Hair Salon, no expense spared for a woman’s crowning glory. I use the Relaxed Hair Potion every other day (to be honest when I get up in time to spend an extra 20 minutes on my hair!) and the Gro oil is great for the scalp. These products make your hair feel soft, healthy and they don’t feel at all oily! It’s great to have my own hair on show for a change, I feel like Queen Latifah in Beauty Shop, ironing her hair before taking her daughter to school! What I love about the 2-in-1 Shampoo and Conditioner is how quickly it is to wash my hair and hold on………you guessed it…………’Feeling the Tingle’. So I am loving having ‘hair’ and highly recommend yall try it. It may not be for you but you’ll never know until you try!
