GENERAL HAIR TIPS
- ALWAYS KEEP AND PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE CARE INSTRUCTIONS THAT COME WITH YOUR HAIRPIECE, PONYTAIL, WIG OR HAIR EXTENSION!
- Detangle hair from ends to roots using a wide-tooth comb or boar-bristle . NEVER detangle or comb when hair piece is wet, leave it to dry first
- Wash in cool to lukewarm water with a mild shampoo. Never wash synthetic hair extension products in hot water as this might damage the fibers.
- For human hair extensions follow with conditioner if desired. Rinse thoroughly in cool water. For Hair Swift or Micro-Ring extension use conditioners that do not have protein or reconstructors, these can be quite oily and cause slippage.
- For synthetic extensions pat dry with a towel and let the hair air dry completely, for human hair you can blow dry. Do not brush or comb when wet.
- Styling is a snap for curly and wavy hair extension, hair piece, ponytail or wig as they will curl back into position once completely dried. Also, remember to style only when the hair is completely dry.
- For synthetic hair, do not blow dry or apply heat as this can permanently damage the synthetic fibers. For straight human hair ones you can using straightening irons to straighten the slight wave that occurs after washing.
- Maintenance is important. For human hair follow the care sheet that comes with your extension. For hairpieces, wash them after wearing it 12 to 15.
- If you have hair extensions, always keep your own hair clean underneath to reduce frequency of washing. For weave-on weft extensions apply a spray-on conditioner for shine once or twice a week. To spot restyle, add mousse or get and use electric rollers on a medium setting. Never use a curling iron unless your hairpiece is 100% human.
- If you are wearing a wig to cover hair loss , it's a good idea to have 3 or so that you can trade off. It's like wearing shoes, heat and sweat builds up and it's always best to rotate them.
